In a few hours, Kirsten and I will be catching a flight from JFK to San Jose. We'll be spending the weekend in the bay area, looking for an apartment. We're both simultaneously excited and terrified about the move, but at least we will be out of limbo soon.
Work has been interesting for the last couple weeks. It's been public knowledge that I'm leaving, so I'm trying to tie up all the technical loose ends I can. As expected, the social interaction has been bittersweet. Almost makes me want to stay. Almost.
A bit of wedding news--we have reserved a pavilion in Indian Well state park in Connecticut for August 12th. This will be the location and date of our wedding "reception", but by "reception" I really mean "big-ass beach party." Food, beer, and (hopefully) some singing by Voltaire. (Still have to send him a deposit.) At any rate, invites will be going out soon, and should be very inclusive. Basically, if you know us, and like us, you're invited. If you don't get an invite, and you want one, just let me know.
