The best laid plans...
My ATM card was lost in transit between Seattle and Pittsburgh. FedEx says they left it on the porch where I am staying, but I never saw the envelope. I cancelled the new card and had a replacement expedited to Cambridge, where I will be staying next week. With luck it will arrive before I leave the country for a week, next Friday.
Meanwhile, I have a dollar twenty-five in quarters, and no way to withdraw cash from an ATM. I dearly hope that taxis at the Boston airport will accept credit cards.
I'm surprisingly unconcerned with this development. Somehow, I trust that things will work out for the best. There's always Western Union, in a pinch.
